The Socratic Therapist: Ask better questions, find better answers.

Virtual therapy for deep thinkers, ambitious minds, and meaning-seekers in AZ, GA, NM, TX, and VA.

You’re stuck. You’ve checked all the right boxes—career, relationships, success—but something still feels off. You’re overthinking everything, spinning your wheels, and wondering if this is just how life is.

(It’s not.)

And it’s time for something different.

Break free from the mental loops, find clarity, and build a mindset that works for you instead of against you.

With my philosophy-meets-psychology approach, we’ll go beyond coping skills to deep, lasting change—one that integrates mind, meaning, and, if it’s part of your journey, faith.

I’ve spent the last 15 years helping high achievers untangle their minds, break through mental roadblocks, and build lives rooted in purpose and resilience.

  • “For years, I struggled with anxiety and fear, believing I could manage it alone. During a tough time, I chose to work with Cory Groman, which proved to be an excellent decision. Cory's calm, caring, and intellectual approach, combined with a healthy religious perspective, has been transformative. He guides you gently and helps you find peace and freedom. His support has greatly improved my life, and I'm confident he can do the same for you.”

    – Mental health professional

  • “Cory is an insightful and compassionate therapist who has helped me question long-held assumptions about myself and others. With his guidance, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of myself, allowing me to navigate personal and professional relationships with greater confidence and clarity.”

    – Dean of journalism at a major university

  • “Sometime ago I decided to prioritize my mental health. While on this journey, I was fortunate enough to come across Cory and I have benefited from his incredible talent since. His compassion and ability to provide insight has been invaluable to me. My experience has been so great that we also decided to have my daughter begin with sessions and her progress with focus, attention to detail, and just maturity has been incredible. I can’t recommend Cory enough.”

    – Former manager with Tesla Corporate

  • “I’ve seen multiple therapists in the past for my depression and anxiety, but despite my efforts, I’d seen minimal improvement. I started working with Cory Groman in 2020 and everything changed. It didn’t take long for me to realize this experience was going to be different. Cory took the time to really understand me and created a safe, non-judgmental space where I felt comfortable opening up. The strategies and tools he’s shared have been incredibly helpful, and I’ve seen tangible progress in my mental health. For the first time, I feel more in control of my thoughts, emotions, and reactions.”

    – Entrepreneur and mother

If you’re here, something inside you knows it’s time for change. Why wait to start living the life you actually want?

The longer you wait, the harder it is to break free. Old patterns get deeper, and the same problems keep showing up in new ways.

Stress and self-doubt don’t pause for you to figure it out alone. They just keep eroding your confidence and decision-making.

Your relationships, career, and well-being are affected—whether you realize it or not. Waiting doesn’t fix the disconnect.

You’ll keep wondering if things could be different. (They can.)

What no one tells you about true change:

  • → The hidden reason you keep repeating the same patterns—and how to finally break free.

  • → What if the problem isn’t you—but how you’re seeing yourself? Shift your mindset, change your life.

  • → The science-backed way to stop overthinking everything. (No, it’s not just “thinking positive.”)

  • → 3 strategies to stop feeling stuck and start moving toward real purpose.

  • → Why stress will never go away—but can stop controlling you.

  • → The ancient wisdom hack for getting unstuck in modern life.

  • → Why “coping skills” aren’t enough—and what actually creates deep change.

  • → How to trust yourself again—even if self-doubt has been running the show for years.

  • → The missing piece in your relationships that no one talks about.

  • → What if you could turn your struggles into momentum instead of obstacles?

  • → The surprising link between self-worth and letting go of control.

  • → Why your brain fights against change—and how to work with it instead of against it.

  • → The Socratic method: How asking the right questions unlocks life-changing answers.

  • → What if imposter syndrome is just a symptom—and not the real problem?

  • → The real reason you feel disconnected—and how to rebuild deeper relationships.

  • → Faith, science, and psychology—how they can fit together to help you heal.

Meet Your Therapist

Hello, I’m Cory Groman, “The Socratic Therapist.”

I don’t do surface-level therapy. If you’re looking for a place to vent for an hour and leave with a couple of generic coping skills, I’m probably not your guy.

My approach is about asking better questions to get to the real answers—the ones that actually change your life. With 15 years of experience, I blend philosophy, psychology, and science with a faith-friendly approach to help deep thinkers and high achievers break free from stuck patterns, challenge old narratives, and rebuild a mindset that actually works for them.

If you’re ready to stop spinning your wheels and start thinking, feeling, and living differently, let’s talk.
